Blazing Sea Nuggets, a student comic strip featured in Duke University's The Chronicle, has been making Duke students laugh since it debuted in the fall of 2000. At the heart of the strip lie Jake and Hubert, two typical Duke students with a twist - they're fish.
Jake, an average Trinity student, is a tall swordfish who constantly struggles with his own laziness and eternal inability to attract the opposite sex. Hubert, the roomate and engineer, is an overachieving student who lacks all social skills (what engineer doesn't?).
